Bankruptcy and Restructuring Team Presented with M&A Advisor Award in Palm Beach

March 27, 2019

On March 27 and 28, 2019, Bradley L. Drell and Heather M. Mathews attended the 2019 Distressed Investing Summit in Palm Beach, Florida. The summit included one-on-one meetings with insolvency and restructuring professionals from across the nation, a friendly croquet competition among colleagues at the National Croquet Center, and panel discussions regarding key bankruptcy and legal issues moderated by reporters in business and finance.

The summit culminated in the presentation of awards at the 13th Annual Turnaround Awards Gala. Gold Weems accepted the award for the case of Acadiana Management Group, LLC (AMG) and affiliates, in which the firm served as Debtors’ counsel, for successful Chapter 11 reorganizations which have between $10 million and $25 million revenue. The awards list can be viewed here.

Bradley L. Drell leads the firm’s Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights Group, with Heather M. Mathews and Chelsea M. Tanner playing major roles in the firm’s representation of AMG and bringing these Chapter 11 cases to a successful conclusion.

“The summit provided a unique opportunity to network with professionals from the various regions in which our clients have interests— from California to Texas to Delaware,” Mathews said. “Our participation in the summit and receipt of this award reflect the commitment of our incredibly talented team, and the continued growth and expansion of our practice.”
