Representing the City of Alexandria, Joshua J. Dara, Jr. prevailed at a civil service trial held on October 29, 2018, which lasted six hours, and involved numerous fact witnesses and two expert witnesses.

Despite constant objections by opposing counsel, Josh convinced both the police and fire employee representatives on the civil service board to uphold the appointing authority’s decision to discharge the employee.  The board ultimately upheld the decision to discharge the employee, resulting in a significant victory for the City.
