Evelyn I. Breithaupt ("Evie") concentrates her practice in employment and bankruptcy law. Specifically, she advises businesses and public entities on federal and state regulatory compliance in employment and health care law focusing on employee benefits, ERISA, cafeteria plans, the Affordable Care Act, COBRA and Fair Labor Standards Act along with Medicaid and Medicaid regulations. Evie also represents both bankruptcy debtors and creditors in multiple avenues including avoidance litigation. She rounds out her practice with general liability and insurance defense.
Evie received her Juris Doctor degree from Harvard Law School, cum laude, where she served as an Article Editor of the Harvard Journal of Law & Technology, the Symposium Chair of the Federalist Society, and the President of the Abigail Adams Society. She also served as a volunteer with the Congressional Oversight Panel for the Troubled Asset Relief Program. Evie maintains law licenses in both Louisiana and Texas.
