On July 30, 2012, in Henry Hymes v. City of Natchitoches, et al, Civil Action No. 10-CV-1167, the U.S. District Court, Western District of Alexandria, granted summary judgment in favor of Gold Weems clients: City of Natchitoches, Mayor McCullen, Edd Lee, and Bryan Wimberly.

In the suit, Mr. Hymes made claims of, among other things, race discrimination, due process violations, conspiracy, and violations of the First Amendment Free Speech Clause. The Court dismissed all claims with prejudice and awarded attorneys’ fees to the firm’s clients.
