Emily Cormier Lester ("Emily") received her B.S. in Political Science in 2022 from Louisiana Tech University, graduating magna cum laude, and her J.D./D.C.L. in 2025 from Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University.

During law school, Emily was a member of the Board of Advocates and was a finalist in the 2023 Tullis Moot Court Competition.
