Joshua J. Dara, Jr. focuses his practice in areas of employment and labor compliance and litigation; insurance coverage & defense; municipal law and civil rights defense; and criminal defense. Joshua has experience representing clients in trial and appellate matters.

Joshua received his B.S. in Finance in 2010 from Louisiana State University and his J.D./G.D.C.L. in 2014 from Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University. During law school, Joshua was a member of the Christian Legal Society and Black Law Students Associations. He was also recognized among his colleagues for "demonstrating outstanding advocacy skills" in LSU’s NITA Trial Advocacy Program.

  • Routinely advises businesses in day-to-day employment-related compliance matters, including terminations, investigations into employee misconduct, supervisor training, and personnel polices.
  • Successfully defended clients against multiple charges filed with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, with the charges subsequently dismissed.
  • Successfully represented public employers in civil service appeals.
  • Successfully defended private and public employers in discrimination claims, including age, race, sexual harassment, disability, family and medical leave, and gender claims under Title VII, the ADA.
