Eugene J. Sues and Sarah Spruill Couvillon continued their streak of successfully defending physicians in a jury trial in Concordia Parish.
This medical malpractice action involved allegations that the surgeon breached the standard of care in performing a laparoscopic cholecystectomy which required the patient to undergo additional surgeries and eventually resulted in his death. After deliberation, the jury returned a verdict in favor of the physician, finding he did not breach the applicable standard of care.
