Eugene J. Sues and Sarah Spruill Couvillon again successfully defended a local physician in a week long jury trial in Rapides Parish adding another victory for the Gold Weems medical malpractice group.

This medical malpractice action involved allegations of a breach of thestandard of care in failing to recognize and treat a post-operative wound infection, as well as a lack of informed consent.  After submission of the case, the jury found in favor of the physician, specifically finding no breach of the standard of care in his treatment of the patient.
