In a 3-0 decision, the Louisiana Third Circuit Court of Appeal affirmed the lower court decision to dismiss the City of Alexandria from a third party demand made by the State of Louisiana.

The trial court ruled and the Third Circuit agreed that the State failed to provide any legal basis to claim indemnification from the City.  The trial court briefs and opposition to the appeal were written by Brandon A. Sues and Lottie L. Bash and argument was made by Lottie Bash at the trial court level and Sarah S. Couvillon at the appellate level
