Drell Elected to Board of Trustees of Sewanee: The University of the South

February 27, 2021

Bradley L. Drell, shareholder and director of the Firm, was elected by the convention of the Episcopal Diocese of Western Louisiana to serve as a Trustee for Drell’s undergraduate alma mater, Sewanee: The University of the South.

Located atop the beautiful Cumberland Plateau in Franklin County, Tennessee, the University is owned by 28 southern Dioceses of the Episcopal Church who all select Trustees to represent them and was founded in 1857.   Sewanee has over 12,000 alumni from all 50 states and 40 countries and has produced 26 Rhodes Scholars—a number that puts Sewanee in the top four nationally among American liberal arts colleges—as well as 34 NCAA Postgraduate Fellows, 46 Watson Fellowships, and dozens of Fulbright Scholars.  “I am excited to be given this opportunity to give back to Sewanee as the University faces new challenges in the 21st century,” Drell said.  Drell’s term as Trustee is for three years beginning at the October, 2021 meeting of the Trustees.
