Drell wins cattle case in Amarillo, Texas

May 10, 2010
Bradley L. Drell

Bradley Drell tried a case in January, 2010, in the United States District Court, Northern District of Texas, Amarillo Division, and was victorious in a bench trial before Judge Mary Lou Robinson.  The case involved cattle shipped from Louisiana to a feedyard in the Texas Panhandle that did not appropriately care for the cattle, caused the premature liquidation of a hedge account, and refused to pay the amounts due under the "retained equity contracts" utilized by the feedyard.

The court also held the individual owner of the feedyard liable for the damages and awarded the client $288,004.14, plus attorneys fees.
