Firm succeeds in having business tort contract against major corporation dismissed

June 10, 2009

Edward E. Rundell and Heather M. Mathews recently won the dismissal of a major corporation in a case involving claims of detrimental reliance, breach of contract, interference with contract, and conspiracy, among others.

The appellate court affirmed the trial court’s ruling that plaintiffs had no cause of action against the firm’s client.  The decision also affirms the refusal to grant plaintiffs leave to amend their petition.
