Fry Awarded Hometown Hero Award

January 11, 2017

Trevor S. Fry, a Director at Gold Weems, was awarded the Eighth Hometown Hero Award in a surprise ceremony on December 16, 2016. Trevor’s selection was based upon multiple community advancements including establishment of the Grant Parish Preservation Board, creating and maintaining the "History of Grant Parish" Facebook Page (with 4,500 followers) and marking historical significant places. Trevor said of the honor, "[i]t’s embarrassing but it’s wonderful."
The Grant Parish Preservation Board’s mission is to preserve the history, culture and natural resources of Grant Parish. Through this organization Trevor advances the charge by qualifying Grant Parish locations of note with the National Register of Historic Places.
You can catch Trevor leading tours of the Breezy Hill Artillery Range/Camp Livingston or visiting the gravestone at a Civil War Veteran’s burial site which he assisted in placing. Gold Weems is proud of Trevor’s commitment to community, continuing a tradition that has always been a hallmark of the firm.
